What Baptism Means at CLWC
A step of obedience, a public profession
Baptism is the next step after salvation — a believer being immersed in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is not what saves you; it is the outward sign of an inward conversion. Jesus was baptized before He began His public ministry, and He commands His followers to follow His example.
At Conquering Life Worship Center International, baptism is a joyful public moment — worship, water, family, and a church that says, “we're with you.” If you have given your life to Christ and are ready to declare that faith publicly, we would be honored to walk with you into the water.
Biblical Basis
What Scripture teaches
Matthew 28:19–20 — Jesus commissions His disciples: go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Baptism is tied directly to the mission of making disciples.
Acts 2:38–41 — At Pentecost, the early church pattern is repentance, baptism, and the gift of the Holy Spirit. About three thousand believed and were baptized that day. Baptism was the visible, immediate response to faith.
Romans 6:3–4 — Baptism pictures burial and resurrection. As we go under the water and rise from it, we declare that our old life has been buried with Christ and we have been raised to walk in newness of life.

What to Expect on the Day
You will not be alone
A baptism day at CLWC is simple, sacred, and celebratory. Wear modest dark clothing you do not mind getting wet, and bring a towel and a change of clothes for afterward. We have private changing areas ready for you and your family.
Plan to arrive about 30 minutes before the service. A team member will walk you through what will happen, answer any last questions, and stand with you at the water. You will not be alone — a pastor or trained baptism team member enters the water with you, prays with you, and helps you through every step.
The flow of the service is brief and joyful: a pastor introduces you and your testimony to the congregation, you share a line or two of confession of faith, and you are baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Family and friends celebrate with you, and there is space afterward for photos and prayer.
